Services
I work across the NHS and Private sectors, and am also available as an Expert Witness for medicolegal cases. In whichever capacity you see me, I aim to provide a first class, caring and responsive service; I practice evidence-based care, and keep up to date of all the latest developments in Rheumatology.
Private Rheumatology
I am available for Private Rheumatology consultations at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital (The Chesterfield) in Clifton on a Wednesday afternoon, and sometimes also on a Friday morning by arrangement. I am recognised by all the major health insurers, and also welcome self-pay patients. If long term care is needed, I am happy to see patients for follow-up consultations.
NHS Rheumatology
My main role is as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, part of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust. From 2014 to 2020 I was Clinical Lead for the busy department, which comprises seven consultants, several specialist nurses, as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists. I also have responsibilities for the teaching and training of medical students and rheumatology doctors in training.
Expert Witness
I am also available as an Expert Witness for medicolegal cases. I have experience both with personal injury (acting for both Claimants and Defendants), as well as clinical negligence.
Pharmacy
Open During Clinic Hours
The pharmacy at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital is open during clinic hours; the majority of medications prescribed can be obtained whilst you wait; if not in stock these may be ordered. Alternatively, you can take your Private prescription to your local pharmacy if this is more convenient.
If you prefer home delivery of your medications, this can be arranged through Pharmacierge.
